2019年1月11日から1月18日まで、7泊8日で台湾へ行ってきました。
We traveled to Taiwan from 11th January 2019 to 18th.
私は3回目、妻と幸太郎は2回目、喜一にとっては初めての台湾です。
まずは関空からPeachで台湾南部の高雄へ飛びます。
It was the third time to Taiwan for me, the second time for my wife and Koraro, and the first time for Kiichi.
We flew from Kansai Airport to Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan.
高雄から台湾鉄道（臺鐵）の特急列車で台東へ。
We arrived at Taitung by express train.
台東で3泊したお宿です。
おしゃれにリノベされた、古い日本家屋の一棟貸し。
This is the guesthouse where we stayed for three nights.
Well-renovated Japanese-style traditional house.
テラスがあったり、ロフトがあったりと、子どもたちは大はしゃぎ。
Our sons romped in the house with loft and terrace.
宿のすぐ近くは、旧台東駅とその周辺がおしゃれでノスタルジックに整備された、台東鉄道芸術村。
走り回ったり、
There is Taitung Railway Art Village, a nostalgically re-maintained area around the former Taitung station.
Our sons ran around,
旧型車両で遊んだり、
played with old trains and
ハンモックブランコに揺られたりと、遊びどころはいっぱいです。

私や妻にとっては、原住民（台湾では「先住民」とは言わない）文化の強さが、この街の魅力でもあります。
台東はプユマ族やパイワン族が多い地域で、これまで訪れた台湾のほかの地域に比べて、明らかに、人びとの顔が濃いです。
台湾は元来、中華系だったわけではなくて、民族的にも、文化的にも、言語学的にも、フィリピンやミクロネシアなどの、オーストロネシア系の地域であることが、よくわかります。
For me and my wife, the peculiar tribal culture in Taitung was so interesting.
This area has more native people such as Puyuma and Paiwan than others in Taiwan and many people have stronger features on their faces.
We can understand that ethnologically, culturally, and linguistically, Taiwan was not originally Chinese but Austronesian such as Philippines and Micronesia.
台東の夜市は大きすぎず、ちょうどいいぐらいでした。
The night market in Taitung was not too gig, good for us.
台東森林公園へ来ました。
安全性に問題のありそうな、親子二人乗り自転車に大興奮。
暑い中、歩いて森林公園まで来たときはぐずり気味だった幸太郎もこのとおり。
The rental tandem bicycle for parent and child did not look enough safe but it was so exciting!
森林公園に隣接する、海浜公園までやってきました。
全員、神奈川県葉山町のまるげTシャツで太平洋を眺めていると、
We reached Beach Park.

浜辺に香腸（ソーセージ）屋さんが見えたので、食べます。
台湾の香腸は、日本のソーセージよりも肉っぽくて旨いです。
そういえば、この香腸屋さんの顔も濃いね。
Taiwanese sausage.
It was more meaty and delicious than the Japanese one.
This sausage master’s face also has a tribal characteristic.
浜で遊んでいると、思わぬ高波で、靴がびしょ濡れになった親子。
やっぱり、瀬戸内海とは違います。
When we were playing at the beach, the high waves suddenly wetted their shoes.
The Pacific Ocean is very different from our home, the Seto Inland Sea.
その翌日、台東から路線バスで40分。
また、アウトドアです。
知本温泉の奥、知本森林遊楽区を歩きます。
ふたりで野生の猿を探しているところ。
The next day, we played in nature again.
At Zhiben Forest Recreation Area, we found some wild animals like monkeys and muntjac.
地図で現在地を確認しているところ。
ふたりとも地図が好き。

ごろごろしたら、
After lying on a swing in the forest,
ようやく、知本温泉に浸かります。
温泉といっても、水着着用の男女混浴なので、スパみたいな感じです。
we enjoyed in natural hot spring.
喜一はまだ小さくて入れないので、温泉たまごね。
Kiichi was too small to enjoy the spa but enjoyed an egg boiled in a hot spring.
