若葉屋の玄関を入ると、まず正面に、この旅情報コーナーが目に入ります。
先日、お越しになったご家族も、「そう、これ！ こういうのを見ると、『旅に来たな』って感じるんですよ！」と仰っていました。
Entering Wakabaya’s entrance, a guest sees our tourist information board.
One of our guests said,
“Yes, when I see tourist brochures like this, I get the feeling “Now, I’m traveling!”.
しかし、コロナ禍。
パンフレットが手に取られて減るペースは、ゆっくりになりました。
そうしているうちに、旅情報の更新がおろそかにはなっていないだろうか。
However, the pace at which brochures are taken by guests and decrease got slowed since the pandemic.
Is our tourist information updated carefully still now?
例えば、小豆島。
今年に入って、フェリーの航路や時刻表がいくつも変わっています。
小豆島観光協会に連絡して、フェリーの時刻表&料金表の最新改訂版を送っていただきました。
For example, about Shodoshima Island.
Some routes and timetables of ferries have already changed.
I called to Shodoshima Tourism Association to send us the latest ferry timetables.
若葉屋の旅情報コーナーでは、いわゆる、「旅ナカ」での情報提供をしています。
一方、若葉屋のウェブサイトでは、まだ若葉屋に来ていない旅人さん向けに、「旅マエ」での情報提供もしています。
「月曜日で、直島の美術館が閉まっていた」
「夕飯でうどんが食べようと思っていたら、どこも昼過ぎまでしか営業していなかった」
若葉屋でお客さんをお迎えする中で、外国人からも日本人からも、何度となく聞いてきた「えっ、そうなの！？知らなかった！」。
香川・四国への旅を思いっきり楽しんでほしいと願い、「旅のコツ」ページを数年前に作りました。
コロナ禍で見てくれるひとは少なくなっていますが、この時間を利用して、情報の見直しを進めてきました。
いつ戻ってくるかもわからない訪日客に向けての英語版「Travel Tips」ページも、更新しました。
The tourist board at Wakabaya gives information for our guests on the travel.
On the other hand, we provide it on our website also for those planning trips.
“The museums in Naoshima were closed on Monday!”
“I was planning to eat Udon noodles for dinner but they closed after lunch!”
While welcoming guests at Wakabaya, I heard a scream “Oh, really? I didn’t know that!” many times not only from visitors to Japan but from Japanese tourists too.
So, I opened the “Travel Tips” page several years ago to make their Takamatsu & Shikoku trips more amazing.
Though fewer people view this page since the pandemic, I have updated all information in my free time.
I updated the English page too for visitors to Japan, no one knows when they will come back.
お客さんが少なくても、旅情報はいつも新鮮に！
