台風11号が過ぎ去っていきました。
ゲストハウス若葉屋へは旅程変更で急遽、泊まることになったお客さんや、足止めを食らって動けなくなったお客さんでずいぶんと賑やかな日々になりました。
昨日は全員が連泊者となり、台所や冷蔵庫は自炊用の食材であふれ、洗濯機も毎日、大活躍。
生活感あふれるゲストハウスです。
Typhoon “Halong” has gone.
Guest House Wakabaya spent crowded days with guests who changed their trip route suddenly or stuck at Takamatsu by the typhoon.
Yesterday’s guests stayed here for at least two nights, so the refrigerator was full with foods to cook and the washing machine also worked much.
Wakabaya seemed to be their living house.
四国のお寺や島のアートを楽しみに、オランダから来られた4名様グループ。
徳島発東京行きの夜行フェリーが欠航となって4泊となりました。
雨が降っても電車、徒歩、自転車で高松をあちこちめぐって、商店街、美術館、パチンコへも。
和食を作るところを見てみたい、ということで叔父の割烹料理店のカウンター席へご案内。
生きた鱧（ハモ）が捌かれるところから見たり、店内のほかのお客さんとも交流されたようで、長期滞在だからこそできる、ディープな旅の体験ができたようです。
They are tourists from the Netherlands to enjoy temples and contemporary arts on the islands.
Unfortunately, their ferry from Tokushima to Tokyo got canceled due to the typhoon, so they stayed here for six days.
In spite of rainy days, they visited various places in Takamatsu; shopping arcade, city museum, and pachinko too.
We introduced the counter in my uncle’s Japanese restaurant to them because they wanted to watch how they cook Japanese dishes.
They could watch him cooking living fish and communicate with other guests there.
It must be a rare and deep experience in Japan.
