今年は瀬戸内国際芸術祭2016が開催中ということもあって、特に海外からのお客さんが多いです。
それが、２ヶ月半ぶりに、外国人０人、全員日本人という日がやってきました。
そう、8月20日！
翌、8月21日も外国人1人だけ、その他全員日本人でした。
We welcome more guests from abroad this year than other past years because of Setouchi Triennale 2016, yet we had a day with no foreign guests.
Only Japanese!

What calls so many Japanese guests?
野外フェス、MONSTER baSHの日ですね。
特に1日目の8月20日は、香川県内でまったく宿が足りなくなる日で、野宿組、ガストで徹夜組、健康ランドで雑魚寝組も大勢…。
若葉屋も5月1日0:00からの予約受付開始と同時に、8月20日の予約申込みが一斉に届くというのが恒例行事となってきました。

Many people can’t get accommodation on those days annually in this area.
そんな中、2014年の若葉屋オープンの年から、2014、2015、2016と毎年、モンバスで若葉屋にご宿泊いただいているお客さんがおられます。
今年も、チェックインで1年ぶりにお会いして、チェックアウトでは「また来年」とご挨拶して。
A pair of girls have stayed at wakabaya repeatedly on those days since our open in 2104.
They checked-in this summer again after one year and checked-out with saying, “See you next summer!”
日々、新しいお客さんをお迎えするのも楽しいですし、こうやって毎年、同じ時期に同じお客さんをお迎えするのもまた、嬉しいものです。
年一回、来ていただく度に若葉屋は年を経ていきつつも、「あ、去年より使いやすくなっている」と思っていただけるよう、成長していきたいです。
