私の妻は大学を卒業以来、横浜市内の病院で、助産師として勤務してきました。
My wife worked as a midwife at a hospital in Yokohama since graduation from university.
その後、病院を辞して、青年海外協力隊で西アフリカはセネガルへ。
Then, she left the hospital and went to Senegal in West Africa as a volunteer of Japan International Cooperation Agency.
（そこで私たちは出会うわけです。 We met there.）
セネガルでは地方都市の病院に配属して、院内での５S（整理、整頓、清掃、清潔、しつけ）推進のほか、現地の小学校での性教育に取り組んできました。
She was assigned to a hospital in a Senegalese small town and advised her colleagues to organize the workplace efficiently, and diffused sex education in local schools as well.
帰国後は高松に移り住んで、市内の病院で助産師として勤めています。
Since coming back to Japan, she works as a midwife at a hospital in Takamatsu.
