高速バス Highway Bus
四国の各県庁所在地（高松市、松山市、徳島市、高知市）間を移動するなら、JRの特急列車よりも高速バスが安くて便利です。特に高知〜松山間は高速バスの方が早く、その他の区間もバスが特急列車より若干遅いぐらいです。学割も効きます。

高徳エクスプレス号
If you don’t have any train passes, express buses are cheaper than JR express trains when traveling between the four main cities in Shikoku: Takamatsu City, Matsuyama City, Tokushima City, and Kochi City. Express buses are faster between Kochi and Matsuyama, and slightly slower than express trains in other sections. Student discounts are available only for Japanese student ID holders.

ALL SHIKOKU Rail Pass
If you are planning to travel mainly in Shikoku, the ALL SHIKOKU Rail Pass is a great value. The pass is valid not only for the JR trains in Shikoku. Don’t miss the other local private railways such as Kotoden in Takamatsu, a ferry to Shodoshima, and Shodoshima Olive Bus too. Moreover, the pass offers discounts for a bus between Kochi – Matsuyama and a ferry between Tokushima – Wakayama.
If you are traveling more widely, not only in Shikoku, the Kansai WIDE Area Pass and the Setouchi Area Pass are also recommended. Both include Takamatsu, Okayama, Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, and Kansai Airport and the Setouchi one includes more, such as Matsuyama, Hiroshima, Hakata, and some ferry routes.
