若葉屋で、ある海外からのお客さんが「今まで行った美術館の中で、豊島美術館が最高！」と言い放ったほどの豊島美術館。
ついに、行ってみることにしました。
A guest of Wakabaya told me, “Teshima museum is the best museum I have ever visited!”
We decided to visit there for the first time.
行ってみて初めて知ることが、けっこうあります。
閑散期、高松港を昼と夕方に出る高速艇は、船内で乗船券を買うそう。
こういう細かな情報を、ゲストハウスオーナーとしてお客さんに提供したいですね。
実は、豊島は2回目。
When we go to the field, we often catch new tips.
During the off-season, the passengers to Teshima in the afternoon buy the ticket in the boat, not at the ticket office.
Such small tips are required to be provided to travelers by the guesthouse owner.
前回はママチャリで回って苦労したので、今回は電動自転車。

すごいよ。

夕食は近所の「うなぎや竹うち」にて。
実はこの日、2月8日は私の33歳の誕生日でして、お祝いということで両親も一緒に、豪華にうなぎの御膳をいただきました。
ゲストハウス若葉屋のすぐ西には御坊川が流れていて、その川沿いにこういった、うなぎ屋が数軒、あります。
近所のおじいさんの話しによれば、昔は御坊川は清流だったそうで、うなぎやドジョウなども獲れ、そのおじいさんのお父さんは漁のための鵜も飼っていたとか。
そんな御坊川の歴史に思いを馳せつつ、うなぎに舌鼓を打ちというのも、いいもんですよ。
Our dinner that night was in an eel restaurant “Takeuchi” nearby Wakabaya.
Actually, that day, the 8th February was my 33rd birthday, so this was a special dinner.
Some eel restaurants stand along the neighboring Gobogawa River.
According to an old neighbor, that river water was so clean in old days and people could fish natural eel and loach.
Unknown local history is eatable and tasty here.
