次男、喜一（３歳）が「船に乗りたい」というので、そうすることにしました。
ことでんで高松築港駅へ向かい、駅から数分歩けば、もう、高松港です。
私たちの日常の行動範囲の中に、港があって、船があって、島があります。
女木島（めぎじま）までの２０分の船旅が始まりました。
到着するなり、喜一はその島が、「鬼の島」だったことを思い出して、怖気づきます。
女木島には鬼ケ島大洞窟があり、あの桃太郎の舞台であるといわれています。
でも、その洞窟へは前にも行って、（３歳児にとっては）怖かった記憶があるので、今回は行かずに、砂浜沿いを遊びながら、お散歩しました。
Our second son Kiichi said ” I want to get on the boat”, so we decided to do as the little captain said.
After taking a train to Takamatsu Chikko and walking for a few minutes, we arrived at Takamatsu Port.
A harbor, ships, and islands are all in the area of our daily activities.
We launched our 20-minute boat trip to Megijima Island.
Upon arriving at Megijima, Kiichi got scared because he remembered that Megijima was the island of ogres.
In a Japanese famous fairy tale called “Momotaro” (Peach Boy), the cave in Megijima is said to be the lair of ogres, who were beaten by Momotaro.
However, he already had gone there before and got scared so much, so we didn’t go this time, and took a walk while playing along the sandy beach.
そして、女木島ゲストハウス＆カフェMeginoに到着。
しかしこの時点で、島特有の強風に煽られて、もう帰りたくなっている喜一です。
店内には入らず、少しおしゃべりしてお土産をもらい、この写真を撮ってもらったら、そそくさと、港へと戻ります。
Then, we arrived at Megijima Guesthouse & Cafe Megino.
But Kiich was eager to go back home by this time because of the strong winds peculiar to the island.
Without entering the cafe, we just chatted a little, were given the fruits, took pictures, and started walking back to the port.
せっかく持ってきたストライダーにも乗らずに、手をつないでとぼとぼと港へ帰る父子です。

高松へ戻る新めおん号が女木港に入ってきました。
赤白のストライプがまぶしいこの船に揺られて、うつらうつらとしながら、1時間の島旅はおしまいです。
