はい、双子の女の子が元気に生まれました。
吉乃（よしの）と福（ふく）です。
『幸』太郎に始まり、『喜』一、『寿』々子、『吉』乃、『福』と、おめでたい「幸〜福」５人きょうだいです。ちなみに、誕生日は5月29日、こうふくの日。

Yes, two beautiful and healthy twin girls were born!
They have been named Yoshino and Fuku, which both mean ‘good fortune’.
ゲストハウス若葉屋は今年3月から一棟貸しの宿として営業規模を縮小し、さらに5月半ばからは一時休業中です。
Guest House Wakabaya had been operating on a smaller scale since last March, and has been temporarily closed since mid-May.
以前、若葉屋に宿泊されたご家族からお問合せをいただいたり、歩きのお遍路さんから「今日、お部屋は空いていますか？」のお電話をいただく度に、お断りするのを心苦しく感じています。
I feel sorry to have to refuse inquiries from guests who have stayed with us before, or calls from walking pilgrims asking if there is a room available today.
本来であれば今年は瀬戸内国際芸術祭や万博で大勢の旅人さんたちを若葉屋でお迎えするべき年になるはず。しかしながら、親２：子５（双子赤ちゃん含む）となった状況では、これまでどおりの仕事をやっとる場合ではありません！
We were expecting to welcome many travellers to Wakabaya this year for the Setouchi Triennale (Art Festival) and the Expo. However, with five children, including twin babies, it is no longer possible for me to work as I did before.

It’s time to take a paternity break.
これはじょんならんこと（讃岐弁:大変なこと）になるぞと思いきや、お兄ちゃん、お姉ちゃんたちが積極的に双子赤ちゃんのお世話や家事手伝いをがんばってくれるので、殺伐とした壮絶な家事育児に追われる、ということはありません。毎日眠いけど、楽しくやってます。
I thought it would be really tough, but our older children are helping out a lot with childcare and housework, so we’re not overwhelmed. We’re sleepy every day, of course, but we’re spending irreplaceable time together.
なんなら、この長期休業をいいことに、夏休みはお兄ちゃん、お姉ちゃんたちを連れてあちこちお出かけしてやろうと計画中。（夏休み中、ずっと家にいるお兄ちゃんたちを外に連れ出すという楽しい任務でもある。）いつもなら夏休みは若葉屋もハイシーズンなので忙しく働いていましたが、今年はまた違う意味で忙しい夏になりそうです。
Instead, we are planning to take advantage of this long break to take our older children on a trip during the summer holidays. Normally, Wakabaya is very busy during the summer holidays, but this year will be a busy summer in a different way.
