地面のコンクリート、表面は無機質なつんつるてんではなくて、「洗い出し」という仕上げが施されています。
こうすることで敢えて、表面をざらざらにして質感を出しています。
このあと、駐輪場が設置され、モミジやツバキなどが植わります。
The approach to the entrance has been already done almost.
The surface of the concrete is not a cold flat one.
Its surface layer was washed out a little intentionally to make a natural sandy texture.

3つあるすべての個室からは、小さな中庭が見えるようになります。
この土地にあった飛び石を置いて、これから竹が植わります。
写真の左の方に見える茶色い板の装飾は、同じくこの土地に
建っていた民家の天井板を再利用したものです。
You can see an inner tiny garden from three private rooms.
Old used stones and bamboo trees will be there.
The dark brown wooden board on the left side of the picture above is also used one.
They had been used as a ceiling board in an old house which had been built on this place.
階段の手すりは竹、そのままです。
The railings along stairs are natural bamboos.
現在、ドミトリーでは二段ベッドが鋭意製作中です。
家具量販店などで安いものも売られていますが、ゲストハウス若葉屋の二段ベッドは大工さんに手作りしてもらっています。
これまでドミトリーに泊まってきた経験からして、
・寝返ったときなどにベッド全体が揺れない、しっかりとした造り
・枕元に鍵付きの貴重品入れ
・枕元に読書灯と、充電用コンセント
これらを備えたベッドにしたいと思っていました。
さらに、寸法が旅館業法で定められているので、これらの条件もクリアーしつつ。
各ベッドを充実させて大きくなった分、部屋は狭く感じるかもしれませんが、快適なドミトリーになるはずです。
The carpenters are making double-deck beds now.
We can buy cheaper ones at a furniture store or on the internet shopping, but ours are handmade.
Our beds are sturdy, so even when you turn over in your sleep, it doesn’t shake.
And a security box, light, and an electric outlet are placed by each head.
完成まで、あと1週間ぐらい、かな？
The construction works will be finished in a week, we wish.
