香川県第二の都市、丸亀市へ行ってきました。
We visited Marugame city in Kagawa pref.
猪熊弦一郎現代美術館。
丸亀駅で降りて徒歩すぐで着きます。
At the Genichiro Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art, just a few minutes walk from JR Marugame station.
現代美術についてはよく分からない私ですが、若葉屋に宿泊されるお客さんにも、この猪熊弦一郎現代美術館へ行く方がおられる以上、やはり一度は自分の目で見ておきたいなと思いまして。
Though contemporary art is difficult to understand for me, I wanted to visit there and appreciate his pieces by my own eyes because wakabaya welcomes guests who visit there.
今、開催中の企画展は「猪熊弦一郎展 みんなで伝える、好きになる」です。
企画展示室の入口には、小さなカードが積まれています。
それを一枚取ると、そこには、あるひとりの丸亀市民の、猪熊作品についてのエピソードが書かれていました。
積まれたカードそれぞれに、それぞれのエピソードが書かれているっぽいです。
取ったカードのエピソードを読んだら、カードについていた一片の紙をボックスに入れます。
「エピソード、読んだよ」ということで。
私にとっては難解な猪熊作品が、ちょっと身近に感じられた気がします。
Now its exhibition named “Genichiro Inokuma—Sharing Our Impressions and Coming to Like Him” is held.
We can enjoy his pieces and read some individual “impressions”.
The one I took was written by a woman in Marugame and told me her memory of Inokuma’s pieces in her daily high school days.
His arts got a little bit closer for me.

丸亀駅からこれまた徒歩すぐのところに、新しいゲストハウスが先月、オープンしました。
丸亀ゲストハウス ウェルかめさんです。
先日はウェルかめさんご一家が若葉屋に遊びに来てくださいました。
昨日は、若葉屋一家でおじゃましてきました。
どちらも育児中のオーナー一家です。
外観は白壁に木格子がバシッときまっていて、中は床や天井に木を十分に感じられる造りです。
新しくて、気持ちが良いお宿です。
旅の情報もいっぱいありますよ。
A guesthouse opened newly last month nearby Marugame station.
It is Marugame Guesthouse Welkame.
I visited them with my family.
Both of us are families with a cute baby.
Their guesthouse is very comfortable and much of wood is used inside and on its outside decoration.
The owner is also a traveler and of course, provides enough travel information to the guests.
