敷布団を全16組、新調しました。
16 new mattresses have been installed.
2014年の開業以来、同じ種類の敷布団を数年おきに買い替えていました。しかしその敷布団はへたりが早く、へたってしまうと快適ではない煎餅布団になってしまいますし、買い替えにコストもかかっていたので、この際、布団の種類を変更しました。
Since opening in 2014, we had been replacing the same type of futon mattresses every few years. However, those mattresses were wearing out quickly, and once they were worn out, they became so thin and uncomfortable, and it was costly to replace them.
いつもお世話になっている市内の寝具店で選定した敷布団は、高反発ウレタン敷布団。和室でも畳んでおけるよう、３つ折り可能。さらに、MADE IN JAPANどころか、図らずもMADE IN TAKAMATSUの商品でした。
We selected a high-resilience urethane mattress at our favourite local bedding shop. It can be folded in three to store in a Japanese-style room. Furthermore, it was not only made in Japan but also made in Takamatsu!
シーツを掛けて敷いてみました。
I spread a sheet on it.
しっかりと厚みがあって、しかも硬めなので体が沈みこんでしまうこともありません。これで底つき感のある敷布団に抵抗感のある海外のお客さんにも快適にお休みいただけると思います。ただ、シーツ掛けがこれまでより時間がかかったりしわができやすかったりするので、その点はこれから改善していきます。
It is thick and firm enough so that the body does not sink into it. I hope that overseas guests who don’t like Japanese thin futon will also have a good sleep. However, it takes more time to spread a sheet on the new one and a sheet wrinkles more easily than before, so I’m working on improving this.
