2022年４月２５日にグランドオープンを迎えた、讃岐おもちゃ美術館。先日、それに先立って開かれた内覧会に参加してきました。
Sanuki Toy Museum celebrated its grand opening on April 25, 2022. The other day, I participated in a preview held before the grand opening.
なんともわくわくする空間です。おもちゃなのに、どれも子どもだましじゃないんです。
まず、この木桶は小豆島の醤油づくりに使われるもの。さらに、この木桶の中は子ども茶室になっています。
It’s an exciting space. Even though they are toys, none of them are childish tricks.
First of all, this wooden barrel is usually used to make soy sauce on Shodoshima Island. Furthermore, the inside is a children’s tea room.
お次はこのゆりかご。庵治石でできていて、職人が完全な手仕事で仕上げた逸品です。
Next is this cradle. Made of Ajiishi stone, it is a masterpiece completely handmade by craftsmen.
たまご型の木のボールプールです。この中に一つだけ、うどん脳が隠れています。この写真にも写っているんですよ。
It is an egg-shaped wooden ball pool. Only one of them has a face. Find it!
こちらは香川県内各地の名所や名産品をかたどった、和三盆のおもちゃ。異なる樹種で異なる色合い。
This is another wooden toy shaped in a local traditional sweet. Each wood has its own color.
うどん屋さんにだって、なれます。
Children can open a small udon noodle restaurant too.
讃岐かがり手まりでできた盆栽パズルを前に、中橋館長が熱い思いを語ってくれました。
In front of the hand-sewn bonsai puzzle, Director Nakahashi explained passionately about the museum.
木立の中には、勇退したことでん５００系車両も再現。
The retired 500 series Kotoden train was reproduced in the grove.
極めつけは、この漆の滑り台でしょうか。香川県漆芸研究所による逸品で、子どもたちが滑れば滑るほど表面の塗が削れて、下から別の色の漆が現れるという時間のかかる仕掛けが隠れています。
The lacquered slide produced by Kagawa Urushi Laquereware Institute might be the best in the museum. A long-term gimmick is hidden. The more the children slide, the more the lacquer on the surface will be scraped off and another color of lacquer will appear from the lower.
子ども相手だからこそ本物をという、職人たちの意気込みが伝わります。もちろん、子どもたちはちゃんと遊べるようになっていますし、大人も学芸員さんたちから興味深いストーリーを聞くことができます。
We see the passion of craftsmen desiring children to touch the genuine. Of course, children are able to play there, and adults also can listen to interesting stories from curators.
美術館入口手前にはカフェやショップも併設されています。
雨の日でも楽しめる、香川にしかないスポットがオープンです！
