17番札所井戸寺から20番札所鶴林寺までの2日間を一緒に歩いたお遍路さん、Iさん。
あの山中の沢の休憩所で別れたとき、もしかするともう二度と会えないかもしれないと、別れを思い返して思わず泣いてしまった幸太郎。
しかし、お遍路さんは言っていました。
「12月になったら、若葉屋へ行けるかな」
Mr. I is a walking pilgrim with whom we walked for two days from 17th Idoji Temple to 20th Kakurinji Temple.
My 7-year-old son, Kotaro cried when he remembered that we left him at the resting hut in the mountain and that we might never see him again.
However, the pilgrim said that time.
“I may see you at Wakabaya in December.”
11月29日、少し予定よりも早くにゲストハウス若葉屋に到達されました！
幸太郎はとっても嬉しくて、夕飯も一緒に食べて、あの道中のことを書いた絵日記を見せたり、一緒にトランプで遊んだり、疲れた足をマッサージしてあげたり。
いつ会えるかわからない人とある日突然に再会できるのは、なんと嬉しいことでしょうか。
On November 29th, he arrived at Wakabaya a little earlier!
Kotaro was so happy that we had dinner together, showed his picture diary to him, played cards, and massaged his tired feet.
How wonderful it is to meet a friend suddenly who we may not be able to meet again!
若葉屋で2泊されて、チェックアウトの朝。
まだ外が暗い早朝の始発のことでんで87番札所長尾寺へ向かわれます。
私と幸太郎は、花園駅までお見送りに行きました。
幸太郎は言葉少なに、でも力強く、「がんばってね」と伝えて、握手をして別れました。
He stayed at Wakabaya for 2 nights and checked out in the still-dark morning to take the first train for the 87th, Nagaoji Temple.
We went to see him off at Hanazono station.
Kotaro shook hands and parted from him, saying a few words, but powerfully.
