私のレインスーツが旅から帰ってきました。
My rain ware has come back from his travel.
四国などをバイクツーリングで楽しまれた、あるライダーさん。
その旅の最後の宿となったのが、若葉屋でした。
その夜は、貸切状態でゆったりとお過ごしいただきました。
A motorbike rider enjoyed his touring in Shikoku.
The last inn for his travel was Guest House Wakabaya.
After having a relaxing time here, the last day has come.
チェックアウトの朝。
最終日は若葉屋から徳島港までの約８０kmを走って、昼前に出向する東京行きのフェリーに乗る予定です。
ところが、無情にも天気は雨。
しかもよりによって、前日、小豆島を走行中、どこかで雨具をバイクから落としてしまったとのこと…。
そこで、私のレインスーツをお貸しすることにしたのです。
He was going to ride about 80km from Wakabaya in Takamatsu to Tokushima Port to board a ferry for Tokyo.
However, unfortunately, it was raining.
And what is worse, he lost his rain ware somewhere on the road on Shodoshima Island the day before.
Then, I lent my rain ware to him.
そのレインスーツが、チェックアウトのときに一緒に撮った記念写真と、ドリップコーヒーと、お手紙と一緒になって、私の手元に帰ってきました。
ライダーさんと一緒に80kmを雨の中走って、１泊２日の船旅をしてきた私の古いレインスーツ。
なんだか、わくわくしました。
Today, my rain ware has come back to me with pictures taken at his departure, some packs of coffee, and a letter.
“He” rode 80km with the rider in rain and enjoyed a two-day cruise.
I felt excited, somehow.
